Gogora offers a brand-new furniture renewal service specifically for kindergartens and child centers!
Why Did We Introduce This New Service?
Furniture renewal plays a crucial role in sustainability, aligning with Gogora’s social mission. It helps conserve natural resources, reduce waste, and minimize environmental impact. Here are some reasons why it’s essential:
- Waste Reduction: Purchasing new furniture often results in discarding old items, increasing waste. Renewing furniture gives worn-out items a new life, minimizing waste generation.
- Resource Conservation: Furniture production requires significant amounts of wood, metal, plastic, and other materials. Renewal decreases the demand for new resources, promoting their efficient use.
- Energy Savings: Producing new furniture requires a considerable amount of energy, often linked to emissions. Renewing old furniture reduces energy consumption.
- Visual Appeal: Refurbished furniture is visually appealing, creating a pleasant and safe environment for children and caregivers.
- Economic Benefits: Renewed furniture is often more affordable than purchasing new items, helping save budgets and promoting economic sustainability.
In addition to social and economic goals, manufacturers’ recommendations and international practices suggest periodic renewal of wooden surfaces treated with varnish or oil. This depends on usage intensity, environmental conditions, and material quality. For more details, see our blog.
The Service Includes:
- Preliminary consultation to assess furniture condition and estimate costs.
- Sanding furniture surfaces with multiple grades of sandpaper to remove old varnish.
- Applying two coats of varnish (with sanding before the second coat).
- Other technical work, as needed.
Pricing Policy:
When determining service prices, we consider the significance of kindergartens and centers, industry specifics, needs, and the sector’s overall economic situation. Based on this, we’ve developed flexible and affordable pricing tailored to your needs and capabilities.
On-Site Service Prices (excluding materials such as sandpaper and varnish):
- Flat surface renewal for all furniture types: Approx. 20₾ per square meter. Includes sanding with three different grades of sandpaper, varnish removal, and two coats of varnish.
- Table surface renewal: Calculated based on the surface area. Note: For table surfaces smaller than 1 square meter, the cost for one table is 20₾.
- Chair surface renewal:
- Surface only: 10₾
- Full chair: 20₾
Additional Conditions:
- If the product requires disassembly and reassembly, a fee of 10₾ to 15₾ per item will be added, depending on complexity.
- If on-site renewal is not possible and transportation to our facility is required, the service fee depends on the number of items. Two-way transportation costs range from 100₾ to 300₾.
- On-site services are only available for orders totaling at least 300₾.
- Sandpaper and varnish costs are calculated at market value (with no added markup).
- Sandpaper costs range from 0.70₾ to 1₾ per sheet, calculated based on usage.
- We recommend only water-based varnishes that comply with EN71-3 standards, as indicated on the packaging. Specific brands can be chosen by either us or the client.
Due to the complexity and variety of products, prior consultation and service planning are essential.
Note: This service is only available for plywood and wooden products. We do not refurbish furniture made of plastic, laminate, or MDF.
